Victoria’s Secret getting rid of Angels

The New York Times reports Victoria’s Secret is getting rid of its iconic Angels. The lingerie brand, which has been closing stores in recent years and stopped airing its annual VS fashion show in 2019, clipped the wings of beauties like Taylor Hill, Jasmine Tookes, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel and Adriana Lima. The company will instead launch The VS Collective and The Victoria’s Secret Global Fund for Women’s Cancers with a much more diverse group of women representing the brand, including actress Priyanka Chopra, soccer star Megan Rapinoe, Chinese skier Eileen Gu, British model and body activist Paloma Elsesser, and transgender Brazilian model Valentina Sampaio. “Through social, cultural and business relationships, The VS Collective will work to create new associate programs, revolutionary product collections, compelling and inspiring content, and rally support for causes vital to women,” the company said.

James Corden nearly kills ‘Friends’ cast

“The Late Late Show” host James Corden is back with a new edition of “Carpool Karaoke” featuring the cast of “Friends.” Corden, who hosted the HBO Max special, aired an extra 11-minute clip on the late-night show Wednesday, featuring him driving Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry around in a cart on the Warner Bros. studio lot. They sang along to the “Friends” theme song, The Rembrandts’ “I’ll Be There for You,” but when he dropped them off at the Central Perk coffee shop set, he forgot to put the cart in park and it began to roll backwards while the stars were still on it. Luckily, he was able to stop it before anyone got injured. “Can you imagine if you’d got off and that was it, dead, gone?” Corden said. “Honestly, just nearly killed the cast of ‘Friends.’”
